Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Criollos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Criollos edged 6th ranked Gigantes in Caguas 86-84. Caguas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Louis King (201-1999, college: Oregon) fired 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Jahvari Josiah (193-1993, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. International center George Conditt IV (208-2000, college: Iowa St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Aguada and Guaynabo. Defending champion Carolina dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with San German. Carolina will play next round against Manati trying to get back on the winning streak. Caguas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Top ranked Cangrejeros (2-2) recorded its second loss in Santurce. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Vaqueros (2-2) 93-82. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Christian Pizarro (180-1995, college: Miami Dade CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Wenyen Gabriel contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Angel Matias (194-1992, college: Georgia South) replied with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for Santurce. Cangrejeros' coach rotated thirteen players in this game, but that didn't help. Bayamon moved-up to third place, which they share with Manati and Santurce. Bayamon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Santurce will play on the road against Ponce in Juana Diaz and hopes to get back on the winning track.

They share the position with Carolina. Aguada will meet at home Quebradillas (#4) in the next round. San German will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 4 winless Ponce was crushed by Quebradillas in a road game 99-64. Manati lost to undefeated Arecibo at home 88-105.



San German - Aguada 75-84

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San German. Third ranked Aguada faced 4th ranked Atleticos. Guests from Aguada (2-1) defeated host Atleticos (1-3) 84-75. Four Aguada players scored in double figures. At the losing side international point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-1994) responded with 27 points and 7 assists and American forward Jamorko Pickett (206-1997, college: Georgetown) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aguada keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Caguas and Guaynabo. Quebradillas - Ponce 99-64

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Quebradillas where bottom-ranked Leones (0-2) were crushed by sixth ranked Piratas (1-2) 99-64 on Tuesday. Worth to mention a great performance of DR Congolese point guard Emmanuel Mudiay (196-1996) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Gabonese Chris Silva (206-1996, college: S.Carolina) who added 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Piratas players scored in double figures. At the losing side international forward Aleem Ford (203-1996, college: Wisconsin) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized Nicaraguan Jared Ruiz (188-1992) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Leones' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Piratas left bottom position moving up to fourth place. Ponce at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Quebradillas will meet higher ranked Aguada (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Ponce will play against Santurce and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There was a small surprise in Manati where top-ranked Capitanes (2-0) defeated their close opponent Osos (2-2) 105-88 on Wednesday. Arecibo shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Manati's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Alfonso Plummer (185-1997, college: Illinois) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 5 assists and American point guard David Stockton (180-1991, college: Gonzaga) who added 21 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Capitanes players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Sheldon Mac (196-1992, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international Chris Ortiz (203-1993, college: Kent St.) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Arecibo keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Mayaguez. Manati at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Bayamon and Santurce. Arecibo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Manati will play against Carolina and hope to secure a win.

It was a great shooting night for Bayamon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists.
